The information displayed on this site is presented using the rulings contained within the Privacy guidelines as set by State and Federal legislation and with the interpretation of the relevant Privacy committees and Area representatives.

To protect the privacy of the individuals concerned, the site uses the following guidelines for privacy and data protection.

1. IDENTIFICATION
GPs may be asked to identify themselves when using some parts of this site. This step may be necessary for the following reasons:

• To make the site easier to use by not having to enter your information more than once.

• To help us direct you to information that is most relevant to you.

2. AUTHORISATION
GPs can choose not to provide personal information. You will still be able to use some of the site but you will not be able to access areas that require identification. All access to the site by registered users will be recorded as part of the audit process.

3. ACCESS
GPs will be able to view their contact details from the GP Contact Details page. If you find that any of your personal information is incorrect you can contact the Administrator with your correct details.
Access to patient information is provided only to the GP that has been nominated by the patient at the time of admission and only where the patient has said Yes to the question of consent.

4. SECURITY
The rights of the individual are respected at all times. We endeavour to protect data from unauthorised access or disclosure.

5. ENFORCEMENT
If for some reason you believe that these guidelines have not been followed, please notify the System Administrator by e-mail, and we will do our best to action and correct the problem promptly.
