A District of workforce shortage, is a geographical area in which the general population need for health care is not adequately met and the area has significantly lower number of medical professional services than the national average.

Area of Need

Area of Need is a state run program aimed at reducing the work force shortages in NSW. The program allows the recruitment of qualified overseas trained doctors for area of need positions.
