Helpdesk Support
The IDGP offers IT helpdesk services to Health Professionals within the Illawarra area. We offer a full range on IT support services including PC hardware purchase and support, as well as software installation and support. The helpdesk is going through some major changes, going from a partially funded program to a fully self sustaining subsidiary of the IDGP.

APACHIIE
Access Portal Authenticated Computerised Health Illawarra Information Exchange (APACHIIE). APACHIIE is the accumulation of both Hardware and software components that allow Illawarra GPs remote access to patient information stored within 9 Illawarra public hospitals. Access is gained through an Internet connection (preferable ADSL), secured through a 128bit SSL tunnel, and authenticated through the use of the HeSA digital certificates.

TAADIS (The Automated Accessible Diabetes Information System)
The TAADIS project is one of the major IT project within the IDGP. The focus of TAADIS is based around the management of Diabetes, and sharing the information between health Providers. The information used for TAADIS is gathered from GP clinical software and uploaded to a central web server for access through web technology.

DOCMail
The Docmail Program Docmail is a computer program designed to notify GPs as nominated by patients on admission, of patient hospital information via e-mail. Docmail is programmed to retrieve specific information from the HOSPAS system (computer system used by the IAHS hospitals), place that information within an appropriate format and e-mail to the nominated GP. GP Gateway
The GP Gateway project was a joint development of the Illawarra Division of General Practice (IDGP) and the Illawarra Area Health Service (IAHS). The project was made possible by the financial support received from the Australian Commonwealth Government (Department of Health and Aged Care) through the Australian Divisions of General Practice National Innovations Funding Pool (Round Two). The project commenced on the 31 July 2000 and concluded on 30 August 2001

SPIRT
Strategic Partnerships with Industry – Research and Training.In 2000, the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia, and the Illawarra Division of General Practice (IDGP) undertook a research project to develop a functional model that would assist patients in determining the circumstances by which a provider should have access to that patient’s electronic record.
