The IDGP endeavors to assist Health Practitioners with their Clinical Responsibilities. In particular IDGP assists General Practices in the following areas:

• The IDGP provides assistance to General Practices in maintaining the Infection Control standards in their practices

• The IDGP practices assist General Practices throughout the Immunisation process through Practice Visits, immunisation updates and Education Sessions

• The IDGP assists General Practices in developing a Refugee Healh Model

• The IDGP provides support to General Practices in utilising the new Aged Care Access Initiative

• The IDGP provides General Practices with support in the management of patients with Diabetes  and assists in the development of programs targeted at patients at risk of developing diabetes

• The IDGP provides training, resources and information to assist General Practices with their Pandemic Planning

• The IDGP assists General Practices in maximizing their   Practice Incentive Program payments

• The IDGP supports  Practices Nurses through recruitment, orientation and on going professional development
