GP Superclinic Shell Cove

The Illawarra Division of General Practice has been awarded a $2.5million contract to build and operate a GP Superclinic in Shell Cove.  It will be located on the corner of Cove Boulevarde and Shallows Drive.  With construction due to commence in late 2009, the facility will bring together GPs, practice nurses, psychologists and other allied health professions, speclists and pathology and radiology services.

The project will be funded by the Commonwealth of Australia as represented by the Department of Health and Ageing.

The Illawarra Division of General Practice is pleased to welcome the following organisations as partners in the Superclinic:

  • Movement Medicine  will be providing a service which is set to include exercise, diet and health education as well as health management programs for diabetes, heart disease and obesity.  For the first time ever, GPs and their patients will be able to access medical services, healthy lifestyle support and disease management programs in the one place.
