Qualifications
Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Education
Job Purpose
To develop, implement and evaluate programs that improve the management of type 2 diabetes. Key functions of this role are:

Maintenance and promotion of TAADIS, a web-based program which uploads patient diabetes data from GPs' clinical software and displays results on a web page where they can be viewed by GPs, allied health staff and patients.

Education for GPs and patients on the TAADIS program

Provide GPs with feedback on their clinical management of type 2 diabetes.

Develop working relationships between GPs and other stakeholders to facilitate the prevention, early identification and management of type 2 diabetes

Co-ordinate GP involvement in the 'Exercise – essential medicine for diabetes' program, a GP referral scheme targeting patients with diabetes.
The most important aspect of my work:
To resource and support GPs and their practice staff to improve diabetes management and reduce diabetes complications.
Days worked:
Mon- Friday one week, Mon – Thurs alternate weeks.
