Community Relations
The Illawarra Division of General Practice (IDGP) is committed to keeping the Illawarra community informed about the broad spectrum of care that General Practitioners provide. Where possible, the IDGP links with local media to convey this message.
The IDGP is available for media enquiries related to general practice and community health issues and are willing to provide comment for news worthy stories and provide information as requested. The IDGP also has contacts with GPs who are willing to make comment (when available) on various topics. All requests for GP comments should be directed through the IDGP Community Relations Manager.

Prime TV/Wave FM Partnership
The Illawarra Division of General Practice along with PRIME TV and Wave FM are continually working to support and promote community access to General Practice and the promotion of important health messages. This mutually beneficial partnership was recognised nationally when we were awarded the Prime Minister's National Award for Excellence in Small Business in 2005.
During 2006/07 the focus for the Community Service Announcements (CSA) to be aired on Prime TV and Wave FM will be focused on Mental Health topics.
